I am not very sure about the same but then I think that it won’t be supporting Rosetta PowerPC as 10.7 has already dropped the support for Rosetta and there are very less chance of them adding support for Rosetta PowerPC in 10.8.

I was thinking about the same as they have been removing their support for a no of other software’s as well, and there are some that I need but then as they are not supported I have been trying out alternative platforms to use them, I have found that a no of user has addressed this issue to the apple so I thought that there will be some chance of OS x Mountain Lion running Rosetta PowerPC.

I think that we will have to wait till they announce the same, as far as I can guess it will be a paid upgrade but then I am not very sure about the same as I have not yet found any official addressing the same.

I am quite sure that it will be paid, if you can just go through their previous release than you will see that when OSx has jumped to 10.x then they had cost their user for the same and now since many will be going from Lion 10.7 to Mountain Lion 10.8 they will be definitely making it paid, and as far as the price is concerned I can guess it to be around $30.

I really don’t think so in fact I feel that it will be a free upgrade for all supported Macs which are running on Mac OS X Lion. Just to inform you all Apple is not focusing on iOS like updates for Mac anymore and hence all the supported devices will be getting free upgrade, other than this I also wanted to share that as they have started "syncing" iOS and Mac OS with iCloud, and as the apple has not yet came up with a media event for this upgrade by now there are more chances of getting the upgrade for free.

I have heard about the same on twitter that the model having Intel Core 2 Duo won’t be running Mountain Lion, I have gone through the list of the non supported models but then I have found some users saying that it is rumor and all and that is why I am not very sure about the same, I think that we should better wait for some more time to confirm it.

I think current time is really worst for purchasing anything which has been associated with technology especially for Mac and products. There are lots of buzz coming out for Mountain Lion and new Machines. Apple supposed to update their Mac line in every single year. If they don’t do that then I am expecting that they will release the computer which will have Mountain Lion installed on it. if you have got the computer installed Mountain Lion on it then you will not be able to uninstall and change back to the 10.7 because of the hardware features.

It is about to release by this summer. It up to you whether you want to wait till the OS gets released. I think waiting could be the better option since you will get new technology at lower price or same price.

New MacBooks are supposed to have the new hardware. Why someone look to upgrade the hardware for the new models. Apple is not dumb to release a new OS which would not work on the large customer base who are having older version of the desktop or laptop. So far there is no announcement from the Apple end whether they are going to upgrade MBA when ML is supposed to release.

I came to know that there are beta testers who are testing the OS on MBA and regular Apple computers. So I am sure that ML will be compatible with the recent purchases done. The total cost of the operating system would be $30. If you are not happy with ML then you can simply switch back to the Lion. But you can do that if ML the only OS which has been came on the computer. they have mentioned that model which are released in 2011 will be compatible with ML.

I think that I can help you out here, you will just have to uninstall the Messages and in order to do the same go to the Messages tab which will be on the top of the screen and then click on uninstall. After that you will get the ichat back. Hope that helps.

The icon which you have mentioned over here is Notification center. I am expecting that it will be more functional when final version of the operating system is released. It will give you notification about the mail, messengers and reminders. In case other apps are running on the system then the notification will appear as a banner and it will get disappear immediately so that it does not interrupt whatever you are doing. When you will click on the notification you will get the relevant app.

New ‘Messages’ introduced for OS X Mountain Lion
We know that the beta version of Mountain Lion has been released. They have released new Messages beta and it supposed to replace the old iChat. If I don’t liked Messages then can I switch back to ichat? Can I do multipoint videochat as I have done with the ichat?

Same as iChat the Messages does the same thing. it comes with iMessage same as that of iMessage in iOS. It allows you to send unlimited messages to Mac or iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running with the iOS 5. You have to send lots of media like photos, videos, documents and contacts . you can also see when the messages has been delivered to someone and even someone is typing the reply. You can also turn on the read receipts. They will be able to see when you are reading the messages. There is end to end encryption has been implemented hence your message will remain secure and private.

If you don’t like the new Messages introduced on your system then you can remove the same from the computer. There is a link at the upper left side of Messages window in order to uninstall the messages.

I found that iChat or Buddies windows are not changed . you will not require to use FaceTime in order to do Video Chat. You will be able to use FaceTime when you are into the Messages window if you have selected. In the rest of the situation the iChat windows is supposed to be same.

After going through the problem I wanted to tell you that one should not run the developer's OS on your primary drive. you are supposed to run it on the partition or external drive. have you tried to boot your system by using Snow Leopard Disc? if not then try the same and also you can try to restore you system by using Time Machine backup.

If you wanted to test a new software then you should know what you are doing. You must have back up of the original system if you are looking to test new software. As it is already mentioned you should use the Time Machine backup to restore prior to start with the testing of the software.

It is appearing to be some hardware issue in your case, anyways if you are not getting the blue screen error again you can try out the below steps and see if it is making any difference:

First go to start and then click on run and then type “cmd” without the quotes in run
After that you will get black window so just type chkdsk /r and then hit enter
When you will get an message saying that you will have to restart the computer and so then just type Y and then again hit enter.

After the restart just let it run check, just try it out and then let me know if it is helping.

I have tried out the same and it was saying to boot with the windows 7 disk and then do a repair and so but then when I did so then it came up saying “unable to repair” it did not provided me any details about the failure that was encountered for the repair, Later when I tried it again the repair was successful but then the issue is still the same, I am really running out of ideas now, is there any other workaround that I can try out to get rid of the error messages and make my computer work fine?? Any further help for the same will be highly appreciated.

That really weird i will suggest you to better try to remove the other hard drives from your system if you have multiples and after that just reboot the machine with the drive it needs for booting and see if it is making any difference, If the issue still exist then again run the chkdsk /r and see if it is helping or not. Just try it out and report back with the result you get.

I am having multiple hard drivers but then now after your suggestion I had disconnected all the other hard drives and booted it with the drive having windows and after running chkdsk c: /r when the computer got rebooted than it just started freezing before the windows 7 boot screen, I don’t know what is wrong with it now. I have tried to do the same process several times and I am getting the same response, I just wanted to know that can this issue be because of video card and the SLI hack??? I am not very sure but then I think that they are culprits, what do you think about the same??

There are possibilities that they might be the culprit but then I will suggest you to better try out a workaround and find it out, I mean that if you are having more than one card in your case then you can try running single card at a time to check out if they are making any difference, if you are finding other cards to be working fine than any of them then it might have gone corrupted and you will have to replace it, anyways just check it out and see if you are having such case.

Well according to me below mentioned changes are to be made into Mountain Lion.

Automatic Application Termination should be turn off.
There should be restore option for the colored icons into the finder slide bar and it helps to provide the tech support.
They should restore the quick look and zoom in on the PDF files.
Column should be resized properly into the Kind View.

Apart from the above mentioned thing they should provide Optional restoration of the scroll arrows. Also there should be something to set mouse pointer speed as well as acceleration curve. Also something to set the Green Zoom button behavior.

According to me finder icon are really important. It helps to get your notification if they have done any changes to the Address Book and iCal. Also I think there should be something which will stop safari flashing white when moving between app and window after doing usage of couple hours. I am hoping that the developers would consider the changes which you have done.

It is currently available as a developer preview for which you can visit the apple’s website and get it from there, they are making it available only for the developers and nobody else. Right now they haven’t conformed anything on the exact release date of the OS. Should be available soon that’s all I can say.

I have just read on a Apple’s Mountain Lion preview site and the release date for the Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is slated for “Summer 2012. So that’s what I know till now as such they haven’t given me any exact date as if when they will be releasing out. Whatever information I had about the release date I shared it with you. Now lets wait and watch as if when it will be finally coming up.

I guess it would be anywhere around july or august since that marks the anniversary of the release of mac os x lion and apple is known to have an annual upgrade path. So you can expect somewhere in that time only.

I agree with you . In one of the videos posted by apple describing the features of the new Mac OS X Mountain Lion, the assumed release date was given July 17. Which is 3 days before the 1 Year anniversary of Lion. So who knows they might release on that particular day itself. Although there is no official conformation coming from apple on this but you should watch out this space for more updated information on the release date.

Apple’s OS X Mountain Lion will not have ‘Mac’ in its name

Apple’s OS X Mountain Lion will not have ‘Mac’ in its name
Hello everyone, apple’s new os will no longer start with the word Mac. The name that we used to call all the major operating systems released by them. The new OS will be plainly called as ‘OS X Mountain Lion’. Mind you this is not a fluke information but it has been confirmed by the Apple officials. The reasons behind the deleting of the word Mac is simply unknown. It is said that apple people are thinking to combine the features of this OS X Mountain Lion along with the new iOS 5, that’s what they are planning to do, don’t know if they will be going ahead with the step or not. Also if you have a look at the snapshot that I have uploaded over here you will get to know what I am talking about over here.

Well for me it does not really matter at all. OS X is the Mac operating system and it will not changes if the word mac is removed from the title of the OS. So it really does not matter to me at all that’s what I want to say here.

It is indeed true that apple people are planning to introduce many new features in this new os and many of them will be drawn from the iOS 5. Some of the features that will be included are iMessage, Game Center, Reminders, Notes, AirPlay, Notification Center and many more.

Frankly speaking I don’t like the idea of having both the features in one operating system, let each one of them be. Each of them are dependent on the different platforms. iOS 5 is good for mobile platform while the new OS X Mountain Lion is for the desktop platform. Why are they mixing up together. iOS can never match up with mac os because iOS has a closed file system. So it will always be a step behind the mac os.

Dude if you look at the windows 8 that is newly coming up if you have a close look at it then what I can say is that even they have developed the interface in such a way that mobile platform users will like it. Today people prefer very easy interface and how good it would be like having a mobile phone interface in our desktop. So that’s what the apple people are thinking about they don’t want their os i.e. OS X Mountain Lion to completely look like the mobile phone one but it should definitely inherit some features from it.

Apple OS X Mountain Lion developer preview share menu not having Facebook Option
Well I know that Apple has developer preview of Mountain Lion. I liked the look and feel of this particular operating system. it is having sharing feature which is available in the most of the app. But noticed that users are not able to make use of menu through FaceBook. If you are having any idea then let me know about the same.

According to me Share Sheets function is one of the several elements that Apple has been dragged into the desktop experience from the iPhone iOS. As that of iOS 5 the Mountain Lion is making easy thing to share through Twitter across the number of the different Apple applications. Once you have enabled the service and logged into the Twitter accounts.

Lots of users has said the same thing which you have stated over here. but I have not noticed any technical barriers for this particular inclusion. I am wondering that there could be some issues which are associated with revenue, ownership or business model. I think Facebook is playing really hard to get than that of the Apple is shutting out of the perceived competitor. Facebook seems to be in the business to get the people to use the entry points. If it gets appear into the Apple menu then it will allow the Apple to get the piece of that particular perimeter.

Facebook is looking to keep users inside the expanding perimeter even they are supposed to stream music. It seems to be a growing threat for the Apple and they are defensive around of the media revenue. We can expect that they can provide the above mentioned feature in the future update of the Operating system. it is something like mutually agreeable terms. After the update we will have blue F into the pop up in the sharing menu.

So far there are no comments from Apple as well as Facebook side for the future update. iOS is supposed to be an important platform for Facebook and they are having good relationship with Apple as it was stated by Facebook representative.

Really good concept adopted by the apple people here and I must congratulate them for the feat if they achieve this. Like they have actually begun from where they have left for the mac os x lion. They are trying to add up each and device in their ecosystem and sync all of them with the help of iCloud, be it a iPad, iPhone or their own desktops. I found this feature to be a interesting one, it really explores the apple’s world.

I got the beta version of messages installed in my system and I must tell you it is much better than the iChat which is already there. I am sure Messages will be replacing iChat, in the process and I am happy about it and why not. Messages does everything iChat does, and so much more.

So if Messages is replacing iChat, does that mean we would end up loosing up built-in support for AIM and Jabber? Well AIM and Jabber are one of my favorite applications from the mac os and I don’t want to loose it. Please clear out the confusion.

Cocoa, dropping X11 and deprecates the Carbon core

Apple OS X Mountain Lion developer preview is focusing on Cocoa, dropping X11 and deprecates the Carbon core
OS X Mountain Lion supposed to developed on Cocoa and it depreciates the Carbon APIs and Drops the X11. But still users are going to get the support to running x Window System apps. In OS X Lion they dropped the support for Java Development Kit. Now company has shifted for supporting open source development of the Java support for Mac through the OpenJDK project.

Right now Apple is trying to do something similar for X11 it was an environment which was used for host X Window System software. Under of the Mountain Lion the X11 package was offered as am optional install is currently missing. In Mountain Lion it will ask you to install the open source support particularly for X11 software. Apple going to provide support for Xquartz and the open source project which has been developed by the Apple is having X11 package.

X11 shift will allow the apple to focus on Cocoa software and still providing an option for the Mac users who are looking to use software which are not having native support for mac. Still Mac build of the Java SE7 is still pending to release and XQuartz offers ready to use the X11 package. this particular software is made available by XQuartz and it has been newer to X11 package Apple. It has been bundled with OS X. it supposed to spinning off X11 for the open source community will be able to obtain the latest version of the software build.

OS X is typically based on NeXTSTEP operating system as well as development environment. Cocoa is an effort to transition Mac users and the developers towards modern API as well as sophisticated API after having NeXT in the end of year 1996.

Re: Apple OS X Mountain Lion developer preview is focusing on Cocoa, dropping X11 and deprecates the Carbon core
Due to poor track record of delivering new software as per the plan of Apple most of the developers are hesitating to invest learing and usage of new Cocoa. They have already invested in the software dependent on the basis of the Classic Mac OS. There was set of API which has been referred as Blue Box. Carbon is worked in order to create the composite operating system which was capable of running both the system. when there was releasing of iPhone in 2007 it was utilizing Cocoa API. Hence it was making developer to focus on the single development platforms. They have not provided the support for Java ME.

People who have not used X11 are going to complain about that they are not having X11 which are not installable. People who have installed old Carbon apps are going to complain about that its totall fault of the apple that 10 year old app is not working properly.

I have already used X Windows when the OS X was came out in the market. it was available for games and stuff which was not available on the OS X software. As the time got passed I was using less and less. I do agree that the developer should not include the X11 on this particular version of the operating system. it is having some security holes and it supposed to be fixed by the developer.

No it is very difficult to comment anything on this, mostly the update will not be available for free. Looking at all the previous major OS X upgrade all I can say that it is not free at all.

I am just hoping that apple will give a free copy of Mountain Lion to all those who have got macbook, macbook pros, macbook air, and people who just bought single OS copies of Lion OS. So this is what they should do at least for the new apple users.

No I don’t think so apple will be sticking with that they will charge the new customers as well for their new OS. I am sure they will be charging the same price as applied for the Lion i.e, £20.99. as far as I know £20.99 is not a big amount and can be well afforded by many of us.

So this is what I had to say here.

What I feel is that mountain lion is just a fix of all the bugs that were there in the Lion. you know what apple is not doing justice with the new apple customers if they are charging them. Since how can it be fair if a loyal customer who just gets a 2000 dollar computer w/ Lion and an extended 3 year warranty while he is unaware that mountain lion will be releasing a couple of months after. Now LIOn turns out to be a Os full of bugs then it is the moral responsibility of the Apple people to fix it with the update of OS X Mountain Lion. that’s what their duty is but sad to see that they are not doing it.

You have to logged in through the Apple Id and users will be able to add friends and simply keep the track of the game they have played through the gamecenter. You can start the Multiplayer games which can be initiated when someone is added into the friend list. Even it can be done when the new players are matched up. It is also having leaderboards so the gamers who are playing the game can compare their high score of their friends with top players. Social software will display the users friend who are playing the game and also displaying new games available in the game.

You can also send the friend request for the gamers on the Mac. iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. You will get the really true cross-platform experience. You can also associate e-mail addresses with Game Center account. It will be quite easy for the users to find the friends on service. The games which are developed for Game Center will provide the advantage of the cross-platform play. it means that players will be able to compete with the gamers who are having the same title installed on the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Microsoft had the same kind of the approach as the Apple is trying to expanding the Game Center. They have introduced most amazing some of the best feature of Xbox Live. However the Microsoft games for the Windows Live struggled to get number of PC gamers. But Steam is supposed to be the most popular option to buy the titles.

There are possibilities that are might be because of virus, so just run a complete scan and then see if you are finding out any?? Just try out the same and then post back the result that you get.

Even I thought of the same and I have already used the following antivirus by now but then they have not helped:

Spybot search and destroy
Malwarebytes anti malware
Avg 2012
Eset

They were able to find something’s like cookies and all and nothing else, the issue is still there, is there any other solution that I can try out, any further help for the same will be appreciated.

As far as I am aware it is concerned to Desktop Windows Manager Service and if you are not getting The same aero style that you were getting before then

Try out the below solution and see if it is helping:
First go in to start and after that click on run and then type “services.msc” without the quotes and then hit enter.
After that find out the Desktop Windows Manage and then restart the service.
If that does not work then try out the below command in the command prompt and see if it is helping.
sfc /scannow

I think that you should reboot the machine here as sometimes after the DWM crashes it is a bit difficult to start it again but then it is not necessary. I just wanted to know that were you messing up with the modified Windows themes and all previously?? If yes then better switch back to the default Windows Aero theme and in order to do so just click on the aero.theme
File which will be in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero.theme
Try out the same and then let me know if it is helping.

I just want you to open the command prompt as admin and in order to do that type cmd in the search and then run it as administrator and then enter the below command and then post the result that you are getting:
sc queryex sens> 0 & notepad 0
Just post it here so that I can have a better idea of the issue that you are facing.

iCloud app library app features are introduced in Mountain Lion

New iOS like file handling and iCloud app library app features are introduced in Mountain Lion
Well I came to know that Mountain Lion is supposed to provide new document handling feature same as that of iOS and iCloud but it will differ from the conventional file system. the upcoming release of OS X will change how users will interact with the documents. Mountain Lion is having streamlined and streamlined of the documents which has been introduced from the iOS where users are supposed to select the documents in the app as that of the Apple iWork where you will not require to browse into the hierarchical file system.

I wanted to tell you that in iOS app document are supposed to stored with app sandbox. The documents in the apps are stored into sandbox. Every single app will be able to see there own documents only. iCloud is also working in the same manner.

For the complete list of new features, check this out: Apple OS X Mountain Lion Developer Preview

Right now iOS 5 of iWork is having the same advantage of iCloud documents. It will have the same kind of the document integration in OS X Mountain Lion. The latest version of the iWorks will provide the documents from the App Library and it is same as that of Mountain Lion. From the Mountain Lion is having the new dialog with the couple of options which are conventional file system located at On My Mac and App Library which is same as that of iOS.

In this particular operating system the auto save feature would create and save the new iCloud-based documents in that particular app which will support the cloud version. When users are having the duplicate file and it will be quite easy to provide the duplicate unique name. Whenever the users are supposed to activate the Time Machine and selecting any file and the system will present the documents Versions rather than that of the general view of the backup which you have made.

The entire thing which has been discussed over here is sounds good since all the things are saved to cloud itself. There will be less click and it is quite difficult to design where there will be less clicks per use. It will require pre configuration and everything is supposed to be saved for locally and duplicated on the iCloud except some apps.

See dude it is always possible to revert back to the a prior version of OS X that was installed on your mac, now the available version of mountain lion is the developers preview. I am just curious to know what things did you not like in that?

However now if you want then you can very well downgrade to mac ox x lion if you are having the developer preview of mountain lion in your system.

Re: Is it possible to downgrade from OS X Mountain Lion to Mac OS X Lion?
See the OS X Mountain Lion is not released yet and also we can’t speak much about the particular os as of now, since the OS is not officially out. If you want you can make use of the clone or if you want then you can better, install on a separate partition for testing. That’s what you can do.

Re: Is it possible to downgrade from OS X Mountain Lion to Mac OS X Lion?
See the standard method is to erase the hard drive and install the previous version of the operating system. That’s what it is and there is no other method by which you can downgrade it. If you want more help then you can visit the apple’s official site and take some help from there. That’s what you can do.

Frankly speaking I checked out all the features of OS X Mountain Lion here and i did not find the presence of iWeb out there so that’s why I think it would not be there that’s what I feel. Anyways I would advise you to again have a re check about the same.

Re: Will iWeb work with OS X Mountain Lion?
As far as I know iLife 11 is compatible with the Mountain Lion, so after seeing that I think iWeb should work out with the Mountain Lion and I strongly feel that it should be there. Since iWeb is already dying and it could have been better if this mountain lion had in it.

I happened to check out the developers preview which has been installed by one of my friend and I have found out that iWeb is actually there in it and supported. So that’s why yes is the response from my side.

I hope all your questions have been answered and if there is anything else that you want to ask then do feel free to ask here. I will help you.

My friend is in a sort of confusion better it would be if you can give me some replies. I am waiting for your response.

Since the Mountain Lion is not officially out and hence it is would be very difficult to say anything about it over here right now. Developers preview means the one that is developed exclusively for the developers and not for the general public. I suppose you did got what I am trying to say here.

It would be much better if you can forward this issue to the apple support and might be they would be able to help you on the issue like these. That would be a better option for you, that’s what I want to say here.

Also do look at what the above person has said. I think he has a valid sentence to say here.

Yes there would be a separate developers forums for this kind of question. It would be better if you can go there and place out the question, may be there your friend would be able to share some of his creative inputs.

I am sorry I cant help you much on this because the mountain lion is not officially out for the public, till then nothing can be said.

Is Mac OS X Lion necessary before installing OS X Mountain Lion?

Is Mac OS X Lion necessary before installing OS X Mountain Lion?
If you haven’t understood the title then let me explain you the question a bit briefly. Will I have to install Lion (10.7) so that I would be able to upgrade it to Mountain Lion (10.8)? if I am having a mac os x in my system then will I be able to install the OS X Mountain Lion? that’s what my actual question is over here. what do you think about it, can you all please reply.

As such nothing has been specified by the apple people about this. So I would say wait for the technical requirements to come up for this new OS and then only we can decide on if the necessary up gradation would be proper or not. So that’s what you need to look at.

I have answered out all the necessary question of yours and still if there is any other query then do let me know about it.

From what I have seen in the system requirements for mountain lion I don’t think mac os x lion is required before installing OS X Mountain Lion. still its too early to speak anything about these at this stage. I would say be patient your questions will be answered as soon as the mountain lion will be out for the general public.

Better clear out the confusion from the apple support team they would surely help you out with this one, that’s what I am saying here. since they are the one who are actually launching this product so that’s why I am dam sure that they would be having a key for your locked question.

So better ask them and in case if you get some replies from them do share it with us it would be informative for everyone out here.

So I don’t think so your this suggestion will work for me, anyways I will try and search it out in the internet for more such solutions. Hopefully I will get some help from it. That’s all I can say.

Dude you are not going to buy anything you will have to do a simple paid update and that’s it. Well frankly speaking I don’t have much information about the price of the update, if I get some information about the price then I will surely update it over here.

Yes the os upgrade will cost you anywhere around £20.99/$29 and nothing much. As the above user said you don’t have to get an CD or something like that but a simple update will do it for you. That’s it! I am sure all your questions are answered out.

Ok that’s great; since this os is new I would be happy if you can share some of the features with me as well. I haven’t heard about what’s new in this and all. I just heard that it is going to be released in a couple of months, that’s why a small description on the features of this os would have been much better for me. That’s all I can say.

How will you be able to install it when it is not officially out for the public, if you want a update then you can better update it to mac os x lion. That’s what you can do. Otherwise for mountain lion you will have to still wait for a couple of months to get it that’s all I can say here.

If you are talking about the Lion then go to the Mac App Store. After that find Lion, buy it for $29.99 and then install it accordingly. That’s what you need to do. As far as the OS X Mountain Lion is concerned you will not be able to get it now.

Will a new iMac be offered a free OS X Mountain Lion update?

Will a new iMac be offered a free OS X Mountain Lion update?
I just got this new iMac and I am just wondering if apple people will be providing a free OS X Mountain Lion update to me? I think apple people should consider giving a free update to those who have recently brought the new mac devices. That’s what I am saying here, so what do you all think about it. Please update me about the same.

No it will not happen at all, a update will surely come and you will have to buy it for a mere $29. That’s it. The update is not available for free at all. I hope you did understand what I am saying here.

I have been hearing that apple might be setting up a refund program setup like they did for Lion. so in case if you did not like it then you will be getting the full money back, that’s what I got to see in one of the website. As far as the update is concerned then let me tell you that it will not be free at all. You will have to pay some money in order to get the update from mac app store. Like all the updates this one will also be charged.

I think so better it would be if you can ask this question with the apple support staff they are the best possible persons to answer it out for you. So you should go ahead and have a talk with them about the matter and they will answer it out for you.

Yes paying $30 is not a big task for me so I would be happy to go with the update once it is available and I did not knew about the money back program implemented by apple. Thanks for informing me.

Try working with the usb keyboard and usb mouse that’s the only solution and then continue with the installation of the os x mountain lion. that’s what you need to do. other than that I don’t think so there is any other solution for the problem.

Hey!
Can you see your battery detected in the device manager? Go to device manager and see if you see your battery there...!? Well this has happened with a lot of netbooks and laptops due to uncompatible ACPI BIOS... Also try to update your BIOS might solve your problem. All the best!

Hey!
I would suggest you to find an ACPI driver for your netbook. If you find a windows 7 compatible driver, its good which i don't think is possible. Find an ACPI driver for Windows Vista. This must solve your problem. Windows 7 drivers are not yet officially supported. But hardware manufacturer's have already started working on Windows 7 compatible drivers. Hope you find one soon... All the best!

Re: Windows 7 says No battery detected
I have the same problem, I have a Dell Insipron 6000 laptop and just yesterday I upgraded to windows 7. Now I have the problem that it doesn't see the battery, even though it keeps running when I yank out the power cable.
I read about this BIOS update I should do, but I can't do a BIOS update, because the Dell updater gives me an error that the battery isn't connected and it should...

Re: Windows 7 says No battery detected
I have Acer Aspire Timeline 3810TZ-4806 netbook. Recently I took out the battery while the netbook was connected to AC power. When I put the battery in, Windows 7 was showing 'battery not recognized'.

I restarted several times on battery or on AC power but the problem remained although the laptop was working without problem on AC or battery. The charging light on the laptop was blinking orange (usually it's continuous orange when charging and becomes continuous blue when charged) indicating something wrong. Then I realized something in the battery circuit needs to be reset.

Solution: I turned the laptop off, then took out the AC power cord AND the battery. Then I put the battery back in and turned the laptop on. Now the battery was recognized and everything worked.

Apparently this resets the battery circuit somehow or the laptop circuit that measures the battery.

Thats really a good trick friend. But are you sure it will work on every laptop having the same problem ? What i did was turned off the computer, removed the battery and put back and restarted the lappy. Putting all the power options in the settings of Windows 7, so that no parameters am not linking to the battery, to attempt a calibration.

There is another way through which you can make the things to be worked for you. All you need to is replace the battery and then check out for other battery. As it is been done you need to check out and process for the desired asoects to be functioned. So do look out and work as required. I hope it will be better for you. So do check out.

Well I have bought the windows 7 retail pack that was having the both 32 bit and the 64 bit DVD pack. So yes it is available and the OEM is the one which is sold wilt the new system and isn’t the retail box . if you are buying the windows 7 separately with the new machine in that case you will get the OME pack generally. If you are getting windows separately then you have to buy the retail box pack. As far as I knew OEM pack doesn’t sold separately , it is illegal . I hope this help

OEM is tied to the initial computer they are activated on plus can be installed on just one computer. Retail be able to later be put in to another computer and can be installed onto two computers used completely by the similar person. MOLP (Volume) licenses can just be bought in quantities of 5 or additional however can be shared with other software to make the 5 licenses

32 bit and the 64 bit depend on the provider from wher you are going to purchase and OME means the company but for use on its own product like if apple purchase the optical drive by the Samsung that the Apple is the OEM.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Software is bundled with the computer When see the company like the Dell , Lenovo , or Hp (to name a few), you can buy Office Software together with the computer, for much less than buying Retail Office Software . a few Internet retailers, you may discover (such as so called software clearance websites), present OEM software - not just Office Suites, although Operating Systems, as well as Antivirus Suites. The buyer should cautiously weigh the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing OEM software against retail boxed product.
