How to solve “Steam is running in windows compatibility mode" error message
Hello I have just started using the steam from last two three days and when I launched the steam I have got the error saying that:” running steam in windows compatibility mode is not recommended. Please remove any windows compatibility settings for steam.exe under all users”. Now I don’t what to do and how to solve this issue, can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue.

I would like to suggest you to the below steps and after that let me know the issue. To do this make right click on steam shortcut icon or steam.exe icon and after that select the properties. Now on the properties go to the compatibility mode tab and under that make sure you have made check mark on the run this program on the compatible mode. if you have run this program on the compatible mode and then I would like to suggest you to make uncheck mark on this and after that let me know the issue.

Even I have faced the same issue and after that I have solved mine issue from below steps: first make click on the start icon and after that click on the run. Now on the run type: regedit and after that make click on the ok button. Now you will get the registry editor and under that locate to the below location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
Here look for the steam.exe and once you get then make right click on that and after that select the delete. Now once you done and after that go through below location and do that same thing as done above:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
