Internet Explorer 8 crashes frequently
Hi,

When I click on the IE8 icon to open it and my screen flashes for a second but IE does not open. I have Google searched and found nothing helpful.

Try to disable Add-ons in Explorer 8, by just right-clicking his IE8 icon in the Explorer and select Start Without Add-ons done. In case the problem is gone, Internet Explorer quit again, than open it.

Internet Explorer 8 flashes and closes immediately when you try to start it, to solve this problem, follow the steps below :

1. Uninstall Internet Explorer 8 .

2. Restart your computer, and than open Internet Explorer 7.

3. In Internet Explorer, clicks Equipment, and than clicks Internet Options.

4. Click the Advanced tab, and than click Reset. Follow from any on-screen indication.

5. Then close Internet Explorer7.

6. Reinstall Internet Explorer8."

The simple solution is that uninstall Internet Explorer 8 and reinstall it again. Or you can switch the the older version of IE. If this doesn't help then Check if your computer is infected by any virus.
