- lags in games even after having the fps more than 30
I have started noticing some Lags Not in all games but in some games such as deus ex HR and even in the call of juarez the cartel. I have already kept my min fps to more than 30 but I actually don’t know what is the main cause of the lag. I mean that I have noticed that the lags some time occur because of the drop in fps. When I was playing deus ex keeping the fps up to 50 then I had noticed that in some part of the game the fps drops down suddenly to 30 because of which the game lags. Is there any one who has experienced the same problem before and have an idea about how to solve this? Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciated.

I had experienced the same problem when I was using the 9600 GT but what I had found is that it was quite old as well and because of which it was not capable of getting the full advantage of the 1GB buffer attached to it and it was also not that good for the gaming card. So if that is your case as well than you have to get some at least one and I have also found that the CPU with no L3 cache has a good impact but then it run out of buffer sometimes .I have experienced that for some games increasing the gpu and the CPU might help you a bit but what really helps is having more gpu. What I will suggest you is to upgrade your gpu and you can choose from these three (HD 6770 or 6850 or 6870 or 6950) they all have best cpu capabilities. I will like to inform you that the 6950 is the best but then if the price is concerned than I think that the 6850 or 6870 are not a bad option and they can give you the best performance as well I mean they can get over the 9600 GT as well but if you think that if there’s no problem with the hardware in your case then I will suggest you to get steam update and see if it helps to solve your problem but if not then I think that you have to try out the first solution that I have suggested but if both the solution does not help then let me know so I can try to help you further.

I have same kind of problem but not exactly the same the problem that I am facing is that whenever I am playing some games online then every time the DHCP server is contacted to uphold my IP and get disconnected from the internet for some seconds .I will like to add that I am connected to a modem directly without ant router and I am facing this problem since a month .I have already tried to manually hold the internet connection by “ipconfig /all” to check my lease time and after a few minute using the “ipconfig /renew” to release the time but I am hating this method is there any other way to get rid of this problem. Any suggestion regarding the same will be appreciated.

I think that you can try to do a firmware update but if it does not help then I think that your modem would have been worn out and you will have to get another one .Basically there are two types of modem a cable one and a DSL one where the DSL has found to be getting less affected by the subscriber traffic as compared to that of the cable.I will also like to know that which board you are using in your computer I mean on-board NIC or a PCI NIC.It is the place where the modem line plugs into your computer and there are updates for the PCI NIC cards as well as the on-board NIC's as well so you can try to get their update and check if they work or not. MSI ATi Radeon X1600Pro 256MB
Corsair TwinX 1024 XMS
Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB
Catalyst 6.3 Drivers
ULi M1573 2.13 Drivers
And the problem I have been facing is that all the games I try to play keeps crashing in this system and the system is getting slow as well. Any help will be appreciated.

I will suggest you to do a thorough scan of your computer first and then try to run the same again but if that does not work then try to update all your drivers and check if you are finding any kind of difference in the performance and hope you are aware of deleting the temporary file. If there would be a no of temporary file and you have not deleted it for a long time then I will suggest you to clear then first. In order to delete the temporary file just go to run and then %temp% and then delete all the files that you find and see if it helps but if even it does not work then I will suggest you to reinstall the windows.
