Need information VIP Starter Pack in Tribes: Ascend
I tried paying the $29.99 for the beta VIP pack, but when I clicked submit to pay with my credit card it dumped me out to my account screen with no message saying payment had been processed. Neither was an email sent to my account and neither was any money taken out of my account... at least not yet. I'm using Google Chrome atm. Curious if anyone else is running into any errors like this trying to buy the beta VIP pack? I also need to information on Tribes VIP Starter Pack that includes guaranteed Closed Beta access. For clarity, neither VIP status nor boosters affect the rate at which you earn in-match credits (which are what you use to buy vehicles, etc, inside of an individual game). Those in-match credits are earned solely from your play inside the given match you are in. VIP and Boosters do help the rate at which you earn tokens (which can be used to unlock new classes, among other things), and XP (which is used to unlock new skills on a class). You can unlock all classes and all skills/perks without ever spending a dime if you choose.

i just used the PayPal option. Everything looked like it went through till the last part where it said could not process at this time. But i looked in my account under transactions and it shows my account charged. But no key given. Although my friend used chrome and MasterCard and got an error.. Just go to the account link at the top and log in with the info you signed up with. Then after you are logged in go to the games tab and see if you have a key in the Tribes section.. Go to hi-rez website and download the hi command software and download the game. Should be fine..

We should keep the stuff bought with gold from beta when the game goes live. You'll have the choice on when to activate your booster. Once the Closed Beta launches, there will be an "Activate In-Game Item" button on the launcher (right below the Play button for Tribes), where you can turn on your booster when you like. It could change, but under the currently planned pricing to start Closed Beta, 3,000 gold would buy 4 Classes with some left over (remember that you also get 2 loadouts free). The VIP status will significantly increase your rate of XP and token gain permanently (making it easier to unlock additional classes and master the classes you own). The booster will significantly increase your rate of XP and token gain for a timed period. Now additional to this you'll wish to get VIP status of some sort eventually because it seemingly boosts you’re in game currency gain thus giving you unfair advantage over the other team. ~20$ I'd assume after the beta ends. Skins, voicepacks, avatars etc. ok as you said that your getting error I would like to suggest you to download the hi-command program on hi-rez website and see if it will allow you to download the game because this has been helped me and I hope this will help you all.

I got Beta access without having to buy the VIP pack. Granted, after reading about the VIP I bought it anyways so that I could enjoy the beta / systems tests more, but not everyone was required to buy VIP to enter the Beta. As for the long term playability of the game, I'm still undecided, as it seems most are. I love tribes, but am also relatively easy to please. I played GA for quite awhile, and that game definitely has some issues, but it was still fun. The loadout issue entirely depends on the amount of gold we get after each mission; don't know if that was answered yet. If only they would remove the requirement for a credit card rather than a debit I would have purchased the starter pack.

I used a debit card and it worked just fine, If your debit or checkcard has a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or AMEX logo it should work just like a credit card. Also, you do know they have pre-paid credit cards, green-dot cards, rush cards, etc. that you can get at Wal-Mart, Gas Stations, Walgreens, Target, etc. that you can load at the stores with your cash then use online as a credit card. No matter what your credit situation is you can get these cards for a very small fee, I think a green dot card only cost like $3 to load. Not having a bank account is not an issue anymore for people looking to use debit/credit cards for a purchase. Even if you are a child, just ask your parents to get you a pre-paid gift card. That's all I get for my little brother now for his birthday, so he can go anywhere and get exactly what wants. The game costs no money to actually play, the speed isn’t that bad, and pressing the space bar is not that big of a deal..

I put up the $30 for the pack and I can say that I'm enjoying playing something that isn't medium armor a whole lot more now that I can get them unlocked. I got the VIP status and I got the 3,000 Shazbucks or whatever it's called, but it doesn't look like I got the 30-day boost because at the end of matches it still shows me the boost points I'm not earning and offers me the option to buy a boost. What's the deal?
I have activated my booster and at the end of the matches it tells me what I got with my booster in blue, yet half of the matches I'm not actually getting the extra xp and tokens it says I got with the booster, for instance it will say I got 1k exp normal and whatever i got extra with booster, yet when I look at my XP it has only gone up 1k and the booster xp has not added. Yet other times it works fine, what gives?.
